A bit quick on picking a fireplace

Buying a heating equipment is a major decision.

It costs a whole bunch of money, takes up a lot of space and will be in the lake apartment for years.

When my hubby and I first moved into the home, there was a boiler system. The boiler was good at providing even heating throughout our sizable house. It was old, rusted and on its last life though. When the time finally came, the several of us picked out a furnace on a whim. The people I was with and I did no research or even consulted with the Heating and A/C business. My hubby and I landed on a gas fireplace since it was pretty and would look good in the kitchen. The fireplace is not nice enough for our greater home. The people I was with and I had to purchase an electric furnace for the upstairs since it was always cold cold. The kitchen piping froze so many times that I finally bought a ventless gas furnace for it. The gas fireplace can barely heat our kitchen. Yes, it does look good and like we are in a rustic cabin. The amount of heating it provides is pathetic. Additionally, the furnace is always giving us trouble. I am frequently shoving my vacuum up inside the system to remove dust. My hubby has changed the starter that hooks to our wireless control component almost every year. The furnace sometimes won’t turn on or off… Occasionally it makes peculiar noises when heating. The several of us should have researched a little bit before choosing a heater, but now we are stuck with a faulty fireplace for another more than nine years.
