Concerns with indoor air conditions in the home

I’m upset about the indoor air conditions in my home, but due to dire local weather, I am forced to keep the windows closed for around several months of the year.

The dire cold while I was in the Wintertide and excessive heat in the Summer makes it necessary to run the gas furnace and air conditioning most of the time. The impact of energy bills on my budget has prompted me to tightly seal up the apartment to avoid waste. I’ve managed to reduce energy losses, but I’ve also reduced essential ventilation. The heated and cooled air is kept contained within the house! Unfortunately, so are all sorts of pollutants, and harmful toxins, mold spores, pollen, dust and dander get circulated by the Heating plus Air Conditioning system and spread throughout the house. Any accumulation of debris within the HVAC duct gets blown into our breathing air every time the gas furnace or air conditioning runs, but cleaning products, pesticides, humidity, personal hygiene products, cooking, carpets and the family pet all contribute to the problem. I make sure to frequently vacuum, wash and dust, there’s always stuff floating the air and musty odors. There’s condensation running down the window panes in the summer. During the winter, the air gets so dry that every one of us have concerns with static shock. I’m aware of the impact of indoor air conditions on the integrity of apartment furnishings and my family’s health. I’ve been researching the weird styles of whole-apartment air quality accessories. There are several options available, which each target unique complications. I can’t decide on the right option for my exact situation.
