My husband is always doing all kinds of home improvement and usually it ends up saving us all kinds of money! I really love when my husband takes care of things like our HVAC system.
Last weekend after work my husband went on the internet and learned how to fix the thermostat all by himself.
When the thermostat broke I told him I was going to call an HVAC technician and he said it might cost a lot of money. I do want to get a smart thermostat installed, but I knew it would be cheaper to just fix our old one. My husband has fixed our AC unit a few times as well, and he is so good at it that our neighbors ask for help. Our neighbors always offer to pay him for his HVAC services but he usually says it’s fun for him. I know that my husbands HVAC services are easily saving our neighbors hundreds of dollars! In exchange for HVAC services we have gotten a lot of great food, so I guess that is a good trade. Next time your HVAC system stops working you should really try going to the internet to see if you can fix it yourself. Sometimes the problem seems really big but it’s not actually something requires a costly HVAC visit. For example when my husband fixed the thermostat all he really had to do was reset it and change the faceplate out, then all of a sudden it started working again! I am secretly hoping it breaks again so he will install a smart thermostat.
