Our kids have hit the age where they suppose everything. It doesn’t matter that our wife and I have been residing for 50 years and all of us have more life experiences than them, because according to our teens, they’ve l gained more in their 16 years of life. It can be super aggravating, but I suppose I was the same way when I was their age. It isn’t until you’re a parent of kids when you finally realize all the stress you put your own parents under; One of the greatest disagreements all of us were having with our teens was regarding our thermostat settings. According to them, currency grows on trees and heat and air just magically happens in our house. My wife and I have our thermostat set to 72 degrees while in the daytime and 70 in the evenings, because these hot and cold temperatures keep everyone comfortable while still running efficiently. Our teens disagree. They appreciate to change the thermostat to their desired hot and cold temperatures while we’re not looking, but not only does this make our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system run tirelessly between the many settings, but it’s less efficient too. To put an end to the thermostat battle, our wife and I replaced our aged thermostat with a smart thermostat. The two of us did this because it was time for an replace, and the smart thermostat had amazing features. My wife and I have the coordinating app on our cellphones, which only all of us suppose the login information for; From our cellphones, all of us get alerts about any changes made to the temperature and all of us can lock the settings. Now, our kids have no way to alter the temperature, even if they wanted to!
