I went my entire adult life having never built a home from the ground up. Most of my peers have built at least one if not more. My wife and I weren’t really all that concerned. After we got married we rented for several years while our careers got on track. But, when we decided to start a family, we found just the most perfect house. Other than replacing the HVAC, it was move in ready. That house was the perfect place for us while our kids grew up. However, once they moved out, it was pretty obvious that the house was just to big for the two of us. Even the addition of a pair of labradors running around didn’t fill it up. So, we started to plan and design a home that we would build together. After nearly 3 years of financial planning and home designing, we were ready to go. My wife took a leave of absence in order to oversee the build. She made a great decision when she chose to bring in an certified and licensed HVAC contractor. The general contractor we wanted to limit to the structure. So, we had more control over who was doing the other work. There was a bit of an additional cost to work directly with the HVAC contractor but, it was well worth it. Not only was he on top of everything and so knowledgeable, he was the most professional subcontractor on our home build. The man was on time with every phase. He also helped us figure out just exactly what best model of HVAC would suit our needs. We simply couldn’t be happier with how the HVAC system in our house works.
