The toughest heater ever-ran underwater

I own a Moore heating system and it is a tank.

  • I don’t know if the heating company is still around, if I had to guess I would say no.

The reason is that my heating equipment has required no maintenance or heating repairs in the entire time I have owned it. No matter what happens to the heater, it will keep on going. Since it runs on gas, power outages don’t affect it. I have never cleaned the inside of it. It must have dust coated in the inside of it and it is fine. The heater is not run by a thermostat or anything either. When the house gets super cold, the Moore heater gets to work. My mother has a Moore heater as well. The heating system lives in her basement and has never died on her. The basement frequently floods though. The heater can be in standing water and have no issue. When my mother was on vacation once I checked on her heater. The basement was so filled with water that it was up to the vent on the heater. I could hear the water gurgling. It was going in the heating system. The heater was still working, even partially underwater! I was worried about the safety risks with this heating equipment. But, eventually I got the water pumped out and the heater worked great the next day. The heater device just won’t quit, no matter what. Heating systems are not made that heavy duty anymore. They live a maximum of 15 years. My heater will outlive me, I just know it.
