Renting a commercial office space for an online business

The guy is making renovations to a rental building! He is painting the walls, putting in new carpets, hanging a corporation logo on the wall & updating appliances

I recently sold my online SEO business. I warned the new company owner to keep the company entirely online. There’s no need for an actual building where employees report to work. For web builds & SEO, everything is done on a computer and through online access. If you have a capable team, you can rely on them to handle their workload from home. Being completely online means we don’t waste money on rent, electricity, Heating & cooling, repairs, maintenance or a cleaning crew for the business. Basically the new company owner simply needed to cash checks and do nothing. The guy just couldn’t help but make changes so he’d feel important. There are various kinds of company owners. The one type of businessman wants to make a profit. Another is all about appearances and looking successful. This guy wastes money to put on a show for others. The first thing he did was look for an impressive commercial office space for rent. He chose a giant commercial building right in the heart of the city. He then told all his workers to show up for a 9-5 job. Working for me, they had a set of responsibilities. If it took them an hour to complete, I was okay with it. They could work in their sweatpants, take days off or not work on Fridays. As long as their work got done one time, it didn’t matter to me. Being held to a set schedule, most of the team resigned. The commercial office area is a rental space, not owned by the company. The guy is making renovations to a rental building! He is painting the walls, putting in new carpets, hanging a corporation logo on the wall & updating appliances. He will never get that investment back.
