When I wanted to start up my own hair salon, I had a hard time finding a space.
Commercial buildings for rent are too costly. I wasn’t thrilled with the style of the office space rentals in my target area. I also couldn’t cover the cost of the rental pricing. Giant complexes and the small office buildings failed to live up to what I was picturing for my salon. I wanted something intimate and comfortable. I then came across some artisan lofts for rent. The word loft had me thinking of an apartment. An artisan loft can be used as a home. It can accommodate a bedroom & kitchen. Various types of businesses use artisan lofts as an inexpensive option. There are galleries that rent artisan lofts for showcasing a new artist. I have seen artisan lofts turned into small restaurants and coffee shops. I decided my hair studio would fit perfectly in an artisan loft rental. It is just the right square footage, offers a convenient location & the rent is cheap. I am able to set up three hair cutting stations, a bathroom, small waiting area & a front desk. That is everything I need for my little salon. I had leftover funds available because I avoided constructing a new building. This rental is so much less expensive than what I anticipated. I could afford better quality furniture and tools. I hired several hair stylists for my staff. I can’t wait to open the doors. I am ready to get started. Thank goodness I came across a loft for rent in my price range and target location. My salon is just beautiful.
