It utilizes an incubator office set up for most of the staff.
There are separate office spaces located on the upper levels. Shortly after I was hired, I came to the realization that I would kill myself to get out of the incubator office set arrangement. An incubator office has employees situated at a long table. There are workers on each side of and across from each other. It was very difficult to accomplish my work with this arrangement. The dude next to me was constantly making personal calls. The woman seated across from me always was kicking her feet into mine. Basically, everybody was texting, making calls and making a lot of noise. It was a cramped, noisy and aggravating way to spend my workday. However, this was motivational for me. An incubator office rental is a cost-saving way to get a lot of work churned out. There are a lot of people working in a small area. A long table, 8 chairs on either side & 16 computers supplies a lot of production for the square footage it needs. It was much worse than the conditions in a cubicle. I was desperate to get my own office. I wanted to take calls without listening to the conversion of the dude next to me. I wanted to stretch my legs without kicking someone. I worked conscientiously to get noticed and finally earn a promotion. After two years, I got moved into an actual office. I am so happy with my new accommodations. I can close my door and open my window. I have a view & my own private space to work. It has been life changing.
