I am having a hard time deciding on a coffee table or not

Ok interior designers on the internet (or people who are fantastic decorators) I need your help! I desperately need your help.

I am making an attempt to create the right “look” in our property in addition to I’m not sure what I should do.

Some background, my spouse in addition to I recently moved into a current property in addition to both of us truly love it. The two of us have been decorating slowly in addition to everything is unquestionably starting to come together marvelously. The two of us have been decorating the living room and, piece by piece, both of us have been getting the furniture exactly where both of us love it. The living room is a fairly open area. While our custom furniture looks fantastic in that particular area, it is overly spacious. The section in front of the couch over to the sectional is severely empty. I thought a rug would look great but I didn’t really like it when I put down a towel for a visual. I am considering adding a nice coffee table in front of the custom couch, however I’m not sure if that’s the best move to make. I don’t want the coffee table to have the appearance of floating in the middle of the floor. On the other hand, I realize that the floor plan might be a little too open separate from at least having a coffee table to completely break up the space. Then again, I sort of enjoy the open look and don’t really want to ruin the flow of the property by adding a coffee table where it doesn’t actually belong. Do you see our predicament? Well, that’s why I’m here. Coffee table or no coffee table? I look forward to hearing your thoughts!
