I looked for a new heating and cooling supplier after the last started overcharging me

In retrospect I realize how lucky I was to never need outside help with my precious home air systems.

I miss living near my father for a multitude of reasons. First of all, it was really nice finally being in a position where I could see him on the weekends and take hikes in the woods. We would walk for hours while staring at the landscape and the wildlife in the area. Sometimes we’d accidentally walk into an area with a family of whitetail deer or a group of raccoons. The animals always scurried off when they noticed us, but it was fun seeing this kind of wildlife up close and personal for a change. My father also helped me around the house with DIY projects and basic home repairs. He worked for a roofing company for years before taking a job as an apprentice electrician. After getting electrocuted by a high voltage live wire while on the job, he decided to switch careers at the last minute. He chose the heating and cooling industry, in part because of the higher pay for technicians compared to electricians in his area. He helped me with all of my air conditioner and furnace concerns over the years. In retrospect I realize how lucky I was to never need outside help with my precious home air systems. Now that I live in a different state, I constantly struggle with finding good heating and cooling contractors to work with. I either get overcharged by good technicians or I am lied to by bad technicians. All I want to do is find a good HVAC supplier so I can sign up for an annual maintenance and service contract. That way I can stop worrying about my air conditioner and furnace.
