I felt very fortunate to inherit my uncle’s home and business.
His home was incredible and it already had staff members to keep up the place.
There were gardeners, cooks, butlers, and maids. The place was absolutely huge so it seemed it was necessary to keep all the staff members. They were really nice people and my uncle had a good relationship with all of them. I also have a business degree so it wasn’t entirely difficult for me to take on the business either. I decided to only make a few changes and that was upgrading the HVAC equipment in the business building. I wanted everybody to be far more comfortable. I also had the HVAC system upgraded in the house. I had radiant heated floors installed throughout the property which cost a small fortune and I had ductless mini splits installed throughout the place to provide zoned heating and cooling. This will save me a fortune on the energy bills because only the areas that are being utilized will have comfortable temperature control settings. I think the staff in my home will also appreciate being able to have customized temperature control settings in their living quarters. I can’t say that I was surprised to take on my uncle’s business, he always told me that I would be a fine successor to him. He’s actually the one who encouraged me to get a business degree, so I feel like it was in his plans all along. I’m really glad it worked out, because this certainly is the life for me.
