When my entire family decided to hold the family reunion at my beach house I couldn’t entirely say no, and after all, The past 8 years we have held the reunion at unusual peoples’ homes.
But, it entirely was my turn…
The only problem is that I don’t have a heck of a lot of space. I finally figured it out; however, the only way I could do that was by turning the sunlight room into a room for all of the kids. There is only a single problem with that plan: there is no heating or cooling in the sunlight room. It is all indoors, however, it closes off from the rest of the beach house and no HVAC vents go that way. Since the reunion is always held in the summertime I knew this would be a problem! Even at night, it would be truly overheated in the sunlight room. Thankfully, I found a simple solution. I bought a portable a/c for a few hundred dollars from my local HVAC contractor. They assured me that this particular portable a/c was truly quiet and truly effective for my needs. I had my doubts although I didn’t see any other things I could do so I decided to supply it a try. As soon as I got the portable a/c beach house I blocked it in and turned it on. At first, I thought it wasn’t entirely working, that is how quiet it is. I left it running all day and, sure enough, it got truly cool and comfortable in the sunlight room. Even with the sunlight beating down on the windows, it was comfortable there. So that means it will be comfortable for the kids at night too. That is perfect!
