Doing the floors before we move in

My fiance and I bought a house and we still have a few months left on our rental agreement.

I actually think it is a blessing in disguise.

My fiance was all upset that we would be paying for two places at the same time. I was excited that I could renovate my new house but not live in a construction zone. My fiance and I agreed to redo the floors in the place. We have a few months to get it done and then all our stuff will move in. It is going great! I love that I don’t have to worry about causing damage to wood furnishings or having dusty linens. I like that my fiance can have his tools strewn throughout the home and it doesn’t matter. Having the wide open floor makes it easier to install. My fiance and I even went a step further and are adding heated flooring to the home. The house comes with a central heating and cooling unit. The device is 17 years old and makes a horrible screeching sound when it operates. It is a matter of time before the HVAC needs to be replaced. With the heated flooring, when my HVAC dies we will only need to worry about AC. My fiance and I could get a high velocity AC device or just put portable units up. Having heated flooring is going to be amazing. It makes no sound and since it is electric, the heat doesn’t rise to the ceiling and get wasted. It is a way more efficient way to have heating. I also am freeing up space in the home because the system is underneath my new tile floors.
