Renovating and getting better HVAC

Since I bought my new house I have been on it with renovations.

I want to spruce the place up before I have kids.

My husband ripped up all the old carpet and laid down heated flooring and then a grey tile overtop. Having heated flooring is a game changer. I don’t need to worry about socks or slippers. I also like that the heat stays at the flooring level and doesn’t create cold spots. It is silent, efficient and clean since it is electrically heated. I am renovating the kitchen right now and looking at cooling options at the same time. Right now my husband and I own a central HVAC unit that sits in a hallway closet with a water heater. I would like a tankless water heater to free up space and to get a sleeker cooling device. I am thinking of adding high velocity AC. I am ripping the walls down in the kitchen anyway. It would be easy to add the smaller, flexible ducts in during this process. I could then renovate room by room adding the cooling system. By the time I am all done, the central HVAC unit won’t have a job anymore. Right now I don’t need it in the wintertime due to the heated flooring. When I have a cooling system I can get rid of it for sure. My home will have more space and be much more modern. I have been dying to put cleaning supplies in that big closet but there hasn’t been any room. There will be soon.
