My fiance and I are going to elope and honeymoon in a different state.
Unfortunately the way the timeline worked out we have to do it in the wintertime.
I looked at all the different states and picked the warmest one for the wintertime. There still will be periods of cold though. I don’t want us to freeze to death on our honeymoon. One place I booked is in the middle of the woods overlooking the water. I know air coming off the ocean can be really cold. I also know that the winter nights get chilly. I spent hours researching different accommodations and their heating systems. I wanted to make sure they had a quality heating device. The place I ended up picking has a wood burning fireplace and heated flooring. The fireplace gave me a pause. I know my fiance and I won’t want to chop wood in order to have heating. It looks really pretty and a fire would be cool, but the smell of it would be horrible. I like that heated flooring serves as a good backup. The rental was about double of what the other places were around. I think I am paying extra for the heating equipment. It better be worth it! I have never experienced heated flooring before in my life. I read only positive things online though. So hopefully my new husband and I will have a romantic honeymoon and be toasty warm during it. If not, I paid all that extra money for more bedrooms and a bathroom that we won’t use.
