I am a large time movie buff.
The first thing I wanted to do when I bought a loft was get a big home theater.
I have constantly had surround sound with big system. I have an extensive movie collection too. I just wanted one room to reflect this idea. I know my boyfriend Kyle thought I was stupid. We had this amazing room in the basement that had once been a laundry room. I don’t do laundry there, and I knew there was plenty of insulation down there to be comfortable. There was also Heating and A/C equipment. I knew that the space was sound proofed so it won’t keep the kids awake. I thought it would be perfect for a grand loft theatre. My boyfriend Kyle plus I had gone to an auction where everything for a low priced. It was all seasoned theatre furniture. There were plush red seats plus rugs that looked the same. They even had some of the older movie posters from way back in the day. I was so excited to see all those furniture pieces. Kyle plus I talked about putting lifts so the seats were staggered a bit like an actual movie theater. The two of us bought a smoothie maker like in the actual theatres. My boyfriend plus I also bought a large screen to show films on. When the grand theatre was finally completed both of us invited the entire family over for the first show on the large screen, and everyone was ecstatic to be invited plus appreciated our loft theatre.
