New Windows would increase HVAC efficiency

Our wedding brought in a lot of money for me and my husband, and we want to invest the money into our home.

However, neither of us knows what to buy, and I really want to buy current windows for the house.

The old windows are difficult to open, fogged up, disgusting, and let cold air in. It is not energy-efficient and wonderful that our Heating and Air Conditioning system operates with old windows, and my husband wants to just upgrade the Heating and Air Conditioning… He would like to switch to a ductless heat pump. Our lake house could have numerous indoor air handlers with thermostats! Every room could be a different temperature. Zone control is a really easy and awesome way to save energy. A heat pump also operates way more efficiently than a typical Heating and Air Conditioning system. It takes existing heat energy rather than creates it. The heat energy from outdoors is pumped inside for a heating effect. You get cleaner air this way anyway, and for cooling the heat energy is pushed outdoors. It is an even better system if you bury the outdoor unit and make it a geothermal-operated heat pump. The cost is quite costly. We would need to use quite a bit of money to purchase it. I don’t think I am willing to do this. A current Heating and Air Conditioning system would be great, but I don’t think we need it as poor as current windows, however, looks-wise, windows would be more noticeable.
