It is difficult to Walk the Dog in Summer But Air Conditioning Helps

Since I live in the desert, I am able to express, with some authority, the overwhelming nature of the heat in our area.

It is a challenge to do anything outdoors.

All those advertisements you see with people out doing any number of outdoorsy activities in our area is just a bunch of nonsense and any permanent resident will admit as much. I, for one, do not even like to walk my pet between May to October… Nonetheless, he asks to go out to do his business, as well as walk off a little energy. That is when I genuinely like my a/c. The a/c is genuinely helpful when it comes to motivating me to do what I have to get done. If I had to walk the pet, go to the mailbox, or walk all the way from the parking lot to the store without the promise of awaiting a/c, I would not be able to convince myself to do it! Even as a kid, I constantly gravitated toward indoor activities. I liked to study in the a/c, watch tv in the a/c, and cook when there was air conditioner to help keep me cool. I especially like to sleep in comfort with a/c. Are there things you refuse to do if there is no a/c to entice you along? I am sure that my pet appreciates his walk even if I do it out of obligation, so I try to keep my eye on the prize – spending time with my feet propped up right next to the a/c output duct.
