The veterinarian clinic was too moderate for the animals.

The veterinarian thanked me for resolving the A/C issue, and told me that if the heat had persisted into the night, some of her more pitiful animals would not have made it.

I was just settling down for breakfast the other morning, when I got an emergency A/C repair call for the local veterinarian clinic. I grabbed my tools and tossed them into my repair vehicle, and drove to the clinic. When I opened the door, it was so hot that the few people waiting in the lobby were dripping with sweat! Even the dogs had their tongues constantly panting and you could see that they were very uncomfortable in the heat. The clinic’s receptionist welcomed me and directed me to the A/C unit. She told me that the quicker I can get the A/C functioning again, the happier the customers would be, including their patients. I asked what happened to the A/C unit, and she informed me she heard a loud bang and then it quit working. It took me about an hour to figure out what had occurred, and then another hour to fix it. By the time I finished with the A/C unit, almost all the customers were gone, and the only denizens other than the veterinarian and the receptionist were the animals that were being kept overnight. The veterinarian thanked me for resolving the A/C issue, and told me that if the heat had persisted into the night, some of her more pitiful animals would not have made it. I not only repaired an A/C system and made people more comfortable, I rescued lives. The next day, many coworkers were laughing at me when I told them ‌I saved animal lives by repairing that A/C unit, although I was not amused. Animals have the right to protection, and good A/C to help keep them comfortable.
