Times are changing in our town and everyone is breathing a sigh of relief. For the last several years there has only been one HVAC company that was near our town. We had another HVAC company that was almost twenty miles away, but no one could afford for him to come out and do our service for our HVAC systems. The HVAC company that was in our town was holding a monopoly and they charged such exorbitant fees that most people couldn’t afford to have their HVAC systems fixed. Then one day, it was announced in the local paper that there was a new start-up company coming to town. Apparently a couple of the younger townspeople had received their certification in plumbing, electrical and HVAC and they were forming their own company. They had applied for their license and they were ready to go to work. It didn’t take long for the townspeople to realize that they were charging quite a bit less than the local HVAC company. The HVAC techs that worked for the new start-up were well trained, and they knew all of the latest equipment. When the HvAC company realized that had this kind of competition, they soon lowered their prices so they didn’t lose any customers. The good thing was that no one really lost any customers. The only thing that really changed was that the customers were now getting quality work at a price they could afford. It seemed like, by having a new HVAC company in town, the old HVAC company decided to go back to small town prices and it was a win-win for everyone.
