Our best ever gig and our best audience

I woke up today feeling burned out from last night’s gig.

We played to a very energetic and enthusiastic audience that danced and sang to our music.

Usually, our improvisations are a blend of rock, funk, punk, and blues. We really got a kick from the young audience’s participation and support. After the gig, we grabbed a few beers and hung out in the bar to mingle with our fans. It was a warm night, and the temperature in the room was hot and stuffy, so I asked the bartender if he could turn the air conditioner on. He accepted my request due to the fact that there were many people in the room who also felt that the space could do with some cooling. Once it was on, it was much more pleasant to be there, and we all felt cool and fresh. I don’t know why they didn’t just open the windows to let more fresh air in instead of relying on HVAC. The bartender was giving us a lot of praise for our performance, he said it was the best we have done so far. He also said it was a good idea to turn on the air conditioner because he noticed that a lot of people were leaving, probably due to the heat. He said he forked out a lot of money to hire an HVAC technician last week. “Nights like these make me realize how crucial it is for me to get my air conditioner serviced before summer when times are busier and the temperature is warmer,” he said with a soft smile and sigh of relief.
