Need to pair a humidifier with the furnace in the winter

Where I live, winter starts early and hangs around forever. Winter is around 8 months long usually. The cold can get into the negative double digits. The air is dry, cold and stale. Pair this horrible air with the furnace working overtime to combat the cold. The furnace in my house works all day long, everyday. It heats at the maximum capacity for eight months hoping to keep my family and I warm enough. A heating system naturally draws the moisture out of the air to create heating. Adding the already dry and cold air of winter makes the home indoor air a mess. The indoor air quality is so dry that static shock is a constant thing. I worry every year about my wood furnishings, molding and antiques cracking due to the lack of moisture. I frequently suffer from bloody noses, chapped lips and rashes due to the lack of moisture. I know what I need to do to fix this indoor air quality issue. I need to pair my furnace equipment with a humidifier. The humidifier can be installed right into the heater device. As the heating system warms the home air quality, the humidifier introduces moisture. No more shocks, chapped lips or dry nasal passages. Also, a more moist home feels warmer. With added liquid in the air quality, the furnace can actually be set lower and help a homeowner save on energy bills. The humidifier that I am eyeing up is not too expensive either. I also think I could install this IAQ device on my own too.
