I’d planned to replace my oil furnace with a boiler heater

The boiler doesn’t introduce a whole bunch of allergens into the breathing air.

The gas oil furnace in my condo is nearly twenty years old, and it’s starting to show wear and tear, i’ve noticed that the gas furnace runs for much longer cycles now and my energy bills have steadily increased, however despite the longer run times, it often fails to meet demands on especially freezing Winter evenings. I end up raising the temperature control setting and yet the condo feels chilly, however there are freezing spots in particular rooms. The oil furnace also makes more noise than it ever did, and I’ve found it necessary to clean more frequently. I suppose there’s a good deal of dust coming from the vents. I’m distraught that the oil furnace is creating concerns with indoor air pollen levels. I’m distraught that it might quit in the middle of Winter and leave my family without heat. I’d hate to be in a big rush to have a new oil furnace installed. I’d much rather take my time, research bizarre models and schedule the replacement for over the summer. I’ve been reluctant to tackle the project because I don’t want a new oil furnace, however since the duct method is already in place, I’m stuck with a forced air heating system. Trying to install anything else would be an seriously overpriced, lengthy and disruptive process. I wish I could invest in a boiler system. In my opinion, a boiler gas furnace is far superior to a oil furnace. A oil furnace uses air to transport heat energy while a boiler uses water, then water heats up faster, stays warm longer and doesn’t cause the heat to rise straight up to the ceiling. The boiler doesn’t introduce a whole bunch of allergens into the breathing air. It provides a cleaner, more gentle style of heating, plus, a boiler is more adaptable. It can be affixed to radiators, baseboard oil furnaces or radiant flooring. It can heat a pool or tepid tub, supplement our household tepid water needs and even power an outdoor snowmelt system.
