Need to learn how to run properly

No one could look at me and deny that I am physically fit.

I have muscles all over my body and a toned stomach.

I eat really careful and work out daily. The only thing I lack is sufficient cardio. I jump rope, run stairs, skip and do squatting drills. One thing I don’t do is just go for a run. The reason is that I am not a natural runner. My stride is what slows me down. Basically it is like my legs are fastened tight together. Only from the knee down do my legs separate. Due to this, I get red bumps inside my inner thighs from sticking together during a run. I also frequently suffer from cramps and neck pain. I know these issues stem from me not running properly. I have tried lengthening my stride and watching videos on how to improve my running. I think what I really need is a personal trainer helping me out. The personal trainer could give me tips on how to run and where to put my body. I am sure there are drills that I am not doing. A professional also could figure out why I run so stupid. It might seem weird to pay for a private fitness class to learn to run, but I want more diverse cardio in my work out. I avoid running at all costs when I get to the gym. I want to someday go for a big run and not die during it. I want to run with long strides and confidence.
