Last year we discovered the best beach in the whole country, in our opinion anyway. We had never been to Tampa, Florida before and we just happened to fly down there because of a great deal on airfare to the Tampa Bay International Airport. Once we got to Tampa Bay, we made our way over the Tampa Bay area bridge and it was basically love at first sight for us. The sunshine state definitely did not disappoint. As we drove over the bridge and looked out over the bay area, we were amazed at the beauty of the Tampa area. We even saw a school of porpoises and dolphins as we drove over the bridge into the Clearwater Beach area. It was amazing to see the porpoises swimming along in Tampa Bay next to us as we drove across the bridge! My kids were amazed by them and that was the minute that we all decided that we loved the Tampa Bay and Clearwater Beach area. I was so glad that we took the chance on flying down to Tampa, even though we honestly didn’t really know anything about it before then. We had no family or friends down there, and we actually didn’t do very much research before we bought the tickets. We thought that the tickets were so cheap that even if we didn’t like the Tampa area very much, we wouldn’t be out very much money. I guess it turned out to be good luck for us that Clearwater Beach is such a great destination for families to visit together.
