If I were going to join the military, I don’t think that I would ever want to be part of an infantry unit.
I would definitely want to do something more practical.
I would want a career that would allow me to be able to have a future later. I think that if I were going to join the military, I would become an HVAC technician. I didn’t even know that the military had furnaces and air conditioners for all of their troops. When I imagined the military, I always expected them to be sleeping outside in holes or hammocks. However, I guess that it makes sense that all of the military buildings would have furnaces and air conditioners. By joining the military as an HVAC technician, I would be able to go to college to become a certified HVAC technician. After I finished my college degree, I would immediately begin to get experience as a professional HVAC technician. After serving for a while, I would come home to be able to find a job with a local HVAC company. With military retirement and a job as a professional HVAC technician, my entire life would be set for me. However, I am not sure if I want to join the military as an HVAC technician. I am not sure if I would be required to fight anyways. It might be easier to join a union as an HVAC technician. Or, I could always find a career in a different field. Maybe being an HVAC technician wouldn’t be right for me at all.
