I know it sounds a bit corny, but during this entire pandemic mess, all I could think was how much I have missed our coffee shop.
The coffee shop was closed.
It had become the favorite hang out for my friends and I. Not only did they have the best coffee, but they had amazing bagels and sandwiches. There was leather furniture throughout the cafe. All of their regular customers were able to hang out and study or work. There were coffee tables set up in front of the furniture for the convenience of their regulars. The dining area was quaint and comfortable, made just for new customers. The best part of the coffee shop was the HVAC. No matter what time of year, or how bad the weather was outside, you could come into the coffee shop and relax with the best heating and air conditioning you can imagine. My friends and I would walk three blocks in the blinding snow, so we could get to the coffee shop. We would take off our coats and hang them on the coat rack. The heating was so much better than what we had in our apartments. In the heat of summer, we would head out of our apartments and meet up in the coffee shop. There we would relax in the air conditioning and make our plans for the day or the week. There is nothing better than having a favorite hang out. I’m really anxious for when the coffee shop is allowed to reopen and we can get back to normal.
