The ductless HVAC system was perfect for keeping the shed cool

All Grandma needed was an app on her phone, which I taught her how to use.

My Grandmother loved her arts and crafts, but the clutter in the house was getting too much for my parents to handle, then dad got to work building her a shed in the backyard to house all of her tools and items. The shed would be her safe space and a fun way to keep exploring her talents, then once the shed was ready, we helped her move her things to it and set up the workspaces. Grandma asked my dad how she’d keep the shed cool since it was summer. Dad had the best solution! He went to town and bought her a ductless mini-split AC, and at first, Grandma was shocked since she’d never heard of a ductless HVAC. She’d seen a portable AC, which is what she thought dad was getting her. But, the window A/C system was a better option. It was the latest model that needed little to no work to install in the shed. Dad didn’t call an A/C company to help him set it up. Instead, he called my mom for assistance, and they figured it out together quickly. The window HVAC system was operational using a remote control and Wi-Fi. All Grandma needed was an app on her phone, which I taught her how to use. The new ductless A/C also functioned as an air purifier. It meant Grandma could have good air quality, and also, it was a dehumidifier. The mini-split replacement was easy since the unit came with a manual and all the parts! Mom picked the right window to set it on, and Grandma was happy. She spent that afternoon in her new shed and loved working on her different crafts, and not once did the cooling unit not work correctly to keep her workspace cool.
