Using the air purification help guidelines to fix the HVAC unit

During the last tune-up of the unit, the technicians provided me with a few guidelines that they thought would help me out in the future.

Last week, I had an issue with my cooling system, where it would only blow hot air instead of chilly air. Even with the warm air, I could hear the HVAC unit straining to emit this air. Since it was a holiday weekend and the cooling specialist was not working, I needed to come up with a way to either fix the issue or find an alternative. It had been such a brutally hot summer day and I needed to be cooled down. I referred to the air purification help guidelines that had been provided by the technicians, I tried to follow the tips provided. The first tip, when confronted by such an issue, was to examine the ductwork to ensure that it was clean and the air ducts could allow free flow of air. I also checked the furnace filter and it was very dirty. I removed it following the guidelines on the booklet, cleaned the washable filter, and replaced it. My filter was not a HEPA filter which would explain why it got dirty too fast and even affected the function of the HVAC system. Next, the tip was duct cleaning, fortunately, I had the specialized vacuum recommended for cleaning the vents of a residential HVAC. The entire process took me about 8 hours, but I had to take multiple breaks. When I was done, the air quality increased, which made me very proud of myself for actually solving the issue. After the weekend, I requested the commercial HVAC provider to send over high-quality filters for future use.
