I was the loudest complainer when all of us were told that our mornings inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office were slowly numbered.
This was the Springtime of 2020 plus all of us were heading into what would be the pandemic that seems to never end.
The supplier had decided that we’d all go home to the air conditioning system safety of our homes plus job from there temporarily. Well, it temporarily turned into almost 2 years before the office reopened. In that whole time, I went from hating the program of working from home to choosing not to go back to the zone controlled HVAC of the whole office. Had someone told myself and others this back in the Springtime of 2020, I would have laughed in their face. Working from home was indeed the annoyance I thought it would be. Initially, I couldn’t find the privacy or the section to entirely get my job done. The kids were sharing the air conditioning system as they were schooling remotely. And my fantastic wife was also trying to do her job from home. It was bad for the first few months. But honestly, it was bad for everyone I worked with until all of us started figuring out little details that entirely helped out. One major detail I finally acknowledged was that I needed some section plus better HVAC in order to be at my best. I cleaned out the guest home office plus called the HVAC supplier. They put in a ductless heat pump so that my fantastic wife plus I had a proper office from which to work. It changed everything almost overnight. It’s been so wonderful working from that office that I chose to stay home instead of going back to the zone controlled HVAC of the office downtown.
