I haven’t seen my sister in about 3 years.
Partly because of the pandemic and partly because I haven’t gone to see her.
I like when my sister comes to see me because my house is a lot more comfortable than hers. I have a guest room and she doesn’t. In addition, I live super close to the airport, but she lives about an hour away. So, traveling to her is never easy, and I just don’t enjoy the journey. Lastly, I live in a city where we have lots to do but my sister lives in a rural area. So, when I visit her, there is very little to do. She loves it here, but she prefers to live in her town. And I can understand it because that is what she is used to. Another reason I don’t like visiting her is that she doesn’t have central air in her home. She does have a window unit in her bedroom but that is it. The rest of the house has fans and she sometimes keeps the doors open to allow cool air to come in. With the doors open, you can only imagine the random bugs that make their way inside the house. I am used to having an air conditioner, especially when I go to bed. During the day, it’s not too bad but at night, I need to be able to sleep comfortably. The last time I visited her, I rented a hotel room and she was not happy about it and that was actually the last we saw each other. I shouldn’t allow this A/C thing to stop me from seeing her, but I am not sure what to do.
