My parents live in a two story home in a rural section of the country.
I visit them at least more than two times per year when I would prefer to get away from it all.
The neighborhood is so remote that they can barely see their neighbors’ houses. Prior to this, they lived in a large city, so this is a large change for them. And a culture shock for me because I am used to town life as well. Anyway, a couple days ago, I was chatting with them as well as our mom mentioned how tepid it has been. And then our dad chimed in as well as mentioned something about his friend’s air conditioner. Apparently, his friend’s air conditioner is broken because it needs freon. Then the conversation gravitated to our dad’s air conditioner. They have two units in their beach home with two sets of controls. And apparently, the component that controls the top level has had some concerns over the years… He said that a couple of years ago, his Heating as well as Air Conditioning serviceman said the component was leaking freon. At the time, instead of replacing the component our dad had the serviceman refill the freon, as well as he had him do it again a few weeks ago. If an air conditioner is leaking freon it’s an indicator that something is wrong. In fact, the Heating as well as Air Conditioning component is a closed loop plan as well as you should never need to add freon to your air conditioner component if it is toiling properly. This means our dad needs to replace his plan sooner than later. Thankfully, they have two units, so if 1 breaks they will have a back up.
