Our son ended up enjoying himself at the summer campground

Our son wasn’t too thrilled when we first started talking about sending him to a camp during the summer. He kept saying that was for lame kids, but I had to tell him that wasn’t the case at all. I told him about all the exciting things to do at camp like swimming in the lake, canoeing, shooting bows and arrows, making fires and all kinds of cool stuff. He ended up asking if they would have air conditioning at the camp. I had to look through the brochure again, but sure enough they had air conditioning in the different cabins. They also had fireplaces inside so everybody could remain warm during the chilly evenings. Our son eventually said it seemed like it might be okay when I started talking about all the friends he would make. So before we knew it, we took him to camp. He didn’t seem to like it at first until he saw kids on the lake in canoes. It seemed like he really wanted to go out on the lake. He was having a good time, which we learned from calling him up periodically to see how he was doing. He told us about all the people he met and they were all cool kids. He basically was having the time of his life and he said there really were comfortable temperature control settings in the cabins which really helped him to sleep well through the nights. It honestly seemed like he didn’t even miss us because he was having so much fun. He was sad when camp was finally over, but he asked if he could go again next summer, and of course we said yes!
