I had something strange happen with the cooling unit today.
I have had the same heating and cooling device for many years without issue.
And while I knew I was bound to eventually have issues with the heating and A/C device, I expected some kind of warning. Usually the air conditioner makes a strange noise, or the heating and cooling becomes less efficient. Or there’s an odd smell. There is usually some kind of sign that the heating and A/C device is struggling and about to give out, but not this time. One day the air conditioner seemed perfectly fine, and the next day it completely went out and refused to turn on. This was definitely something to be concerned about, because I didn’t know if the reason the A/C system stopped working was major or not. Not only that, but it has been really heated lately, and I did not want to deal with the hot outdoor temperatures affecting my home. Thankfully, there is a local A/C company close to me that is almost always available and they are very fast. Most cooling corporations seem to take awhile to get to you, and that is because I am sure their HVAC services keep them busy. But this one A/C dealer seems to be really good at getting to you quickly. I called them and they told me they could have a HVAC specialist out by the next morning! This was fantastic news to hear, because it meant I would not have to deal with the broken air conditioner for very long.
