We should have brought our own car

My friends said that if we would just run the air conditioning for long enough, it would really push the smell out of the air vents plus make the car smell better

My friends and I were on a trip a couple of weeks ago to a neighborhood in the southern part of the world. My friends and I had to rent a car since we had flown into the airport, which was no large deal. The people I was with and I rent cars all the time and most of the time we don’t have a concern with them. This car, but, had problems. The heating and cooling plan seemed to be on the bconnect for some reason. And not only that, however every time I tried to turn on the a/c to start cooling the car down, the car started to smell bad; My partner said that he thought there might be something stuck in the air vents in the car that was making it smell bad; I don’t have a clue as to what it was, even though I do believe that a/c should never smell love that! It smelled like there was something rotting inside the air ducts of the car. If I had to explain it, it would be fair to say that it smelled like a rotten skunk who was smoking a cigarette. I hate the smell of smoke plus skunks, plus so running the a/c just wasn’t an option. My friends said that if we would just run the air conditioning for long enough, it would really push the smell out of the air vents plus make the car smell better. I didn’t agree with him, however, plus, I thought I might die while holding my breath as I waited for the smell of the air conditioning to fade away, eventually, my partner gave up and took the car directly back to the rental agency to trade it! He knew that we were going to have to have working a/c that week.
