I had the most unusual offer from my local heating and air conditioning company the other week.
They were offering me a credit card! I had never heard of a heating and air conditioning company having their very own credit card. It was actually a Visa card and it was a regular credit card just like any bank would offer, but it was hosted and owned by the local heating and air conditioning company. I guess they were trying to expand their HVAC business into something a little more than just the heating and air conditioning field. Which I have no problem with that. I respect any company that wants to have other side business ventures so long as it doesn’t affect the quality of work that they do at their main business. I declined the offer to get the credit card with the local heating and air conditioning company. Not because I didn’t like them or anything like that. It was because I had way too many credit cards as it was and many of them were maxed out. I did not want to tank my credit any worse than it already was. The local heating and air conditioning company already has additional business from me from being on their HVAC service plan every year. So that is my extra dedication to their cause and my protection of my central heating and air conditioning equipment. Maybe in the future I will sign up for the heating and air conditioning company’s credit card, but not right now till I get rid of some of this credit card debt on my other cards!
