Our HVAC company definitely needs some young men.
Right now, my HVAC company is facing a crisis situation. We are having a hard time recruiting young men to become HVAC technicians. This is not a new problem, but the problem has been steadily increasing over the last decade. This problem isn’t even a problem that is isolated to only my HVAC company. HVAC companies around the nation are having a hard time finding young men to become HVAC technicians. I know that it is a problem with schooling. What else could it be? HVAC technicians make a lot of money fixing HVAC units, and they are paid to become HVAC technicians. If you are an HVAC technician, you can literally find a job anywhere in the country because all HVAC companies are facing a shortage of HVAC technicians. The only reason that young people do not want to become HVAC technicians is that schools are telling them that they have to go to college if they want to be successful. Who cares that colleges are expensive and that degrees don’t always get you a job? They teach that if you become an HVAC technician, you will always be doomed to be poor and unsuccessful. Well, that is not true. I started as an HVAC technician, and I currently own my own HVAC company. Being an HVAC technician is awesome. One thing that I want to know is what they will do if there are no HVAC technicians trained in the new few decades. Who is going to fix an air conditioner or a furnace if everyone that knows how is retired? That is going to be a huge problem if we don’t start encouraging kids to become HVAC technicians.
