They’re easy to add to any free resting home, regardless of whether or not your lake house has an existing chimney
In retrospect, I wasn’t completely prepared for this past Winter season. Every one of us saw record lows amid crazy blizzards plus ice storms that stretched from one end of the country to the other. Even the southern part of the country got hit with freezing temperatures a handful of times. Every one of us would get a month of milder weather before getting annihilated with another freezing storm. I should have bought a storm generator when I had the opportunity to, because both of us lost power at times for a few hours at a time. In Texas this scenario played out love a nightmare situation because their power grid was hit with freezing temperatures close to zero for afternoons on end. Power lines froze plus a giant majority of the state lost power for afternoons at a time. Others lost power for weeks. Not only do you lose the ability to stay hot with no access to heat, you run the danger of your pipes freezing plus bursting. Many are dealing with thoUSnds of dollars with water destruction because they didn’t turn off their water plus evacuate their pipes before the worst storm hit. Honestly, I wouldn’t have known to do this either. I live farther north plus realize that I was close to replicating this nightmare scenario several times this year… In our case, our electricity was reattached before conditions became dire. Now I realize that I need some kind of supplemental heat or a strong storm generator. Since I”m a fan of wood heating, I’m going to call around plus find a wonderful price on a wood stove. They’re easy to add to any free resting home, regardless of whether or not your lake house has an existing chimney. The retrofitting process only requires minimal materials plus labor.
