I had an interesting experience the other day when I went to the market to pick up some food.
- I always appreciate getting fresh produce like corn, apples, peaches, and whatever else is in season.
I really love getting cherries when they are available for purchase. Well anyway, the other day I went to the market and the place was stifling. I had never been in the market when it was so overheated. I knew it was a pretty hot day but I am usually greeted with the air conditioning. I decided to try to tough it out and got some of my regular items. I spent a lot of time in the frozen food section even though I didn’t actually buy anything from there. I just kept putting my face inside the freezers so that I could get some cooling relief. Clearly, the A/C system wasn’t working in the place. When I checked out, and I was quick to do so, I asked if they were getting the air conditioning fixed. The worker said they already called the HVAC professional a few hours back but he still hadn’t arrived. She said she wished they were able to shut down the store because it was far too overheated. This poor girl was there with just a small table fan and she seemed like she was suffering much worse than me. Not to mention, I’m sure she wasn’t able to go to the freezer section to put her face in the freezer to find some cooling relief. When I was leaving, I saw the HVAC van finally pull up and I thought that the cashier would be relieved to see that.
