Date someone with allergies and gather the perks

I don’t think that I’m a “user,” by definition… but I do love to have relationships that come with some perks.

I mean, I have friends who work at cool places.

I have family members who help me with mechanical failures. And in general, I am always interested in dating partners who come with sets of benefits. For instance, I love to date a man who knows how to work on cars. Watching your boyfriend take care of your oil change and old squeaky brakes for free. Recently, I found a whole new way to benefit from allowing someone new and handy in your life. If you care about indoor air temperature control equipment, I can attest that it’s a great idea if you you date someone who has extreme allergies. I say this only because a few weeks ago, I started dating a pretty cool dude who happens to have extreme respiratory allergies. He was sneezing and coughing up a storm. I was very interested in spending time with him after our first date together, but he seemed nervous to be at my house after his last respiratory attack. I try not to be insulted, but one day the dude even brought up my indoor air temperature control equipment and his allergies. He said it simply didn’t keep my indoor air quality high enough for him to be comfortable. He didn’t want to sound crazy, but he really needed a new air purification system installed with my current central heating and cooling devices. I told him that I couldn’t afford advanced HVAC like that. Within a few weeks, I had a brand new central air temperature control system, complete with high quality air media purification units. I paid nothing for it, but I get to use it every day. I have limited feelings about this relationship, but great ones about my indoor air quality.
