A blind date with a heating contractor

I walked into a very nice coffee shop with hundreds of butterflies fluttering in my stomach.

The reason for being nervous was that I was here for a blind date. The conversation with my date was lively, he told me he worked as a heating contractor and owned his own local service provider business. He even commented on the digital thermostat near the service area which I had not noticed before, saying it was a very efficient temperature control model. As we were having our coffee, I asked him what funny things he encounters in his work. He told me that sometime the previous week a lady had called saying that she needed her electric heating system checked because it was so loud it could wake the dead. The lady sounded so frustrated that he pitied her. He sent a heating technician to go to her house to do a furnace/heater tune-up to decipher what the problem was with the central heater. When he was done he found out that the electric heat pump had some loose parts that were making the noise and so he conducted a furnace heater repair. The lady was so impressed by their services that she called in a week later to commend them on their job and also inquired about radiant floor heating and how it worked with the zone control system when it came to whole-home heating. She also asked for more energy-saving tips that could help her unit be more energy efficient. At this point, I was in hysterics because he unknowingly described my encounter with him. It was so funny hearing someone else describe the ordeal and when I finally stopped laughing I let him in on the joke.
