After our aunt died, our spouse & I were in charge of cleaning out her home & preparing it to be put for sale.
I did not recognize our aunt absolutely well, so it wasn’t too taxing to scrub out her belongings.
However, it did make myself and others worried looking back at all of the outdated timey black & white pictures & all of the other knick knacks she had sitting around. I planned on keeping a few myself to make sure her memory was not forgotten. Every one of us cleaned the dining room, which was already almost spotless, however cleaning out the dining room & her bedroom took a little longer, however soon both of us had them cleaned out as well. Next our spouse & I cut up to do odd areas. He chose the guest room & I took the basement. The basement was like most proper basements, dark & creepy looking. I wanted to get in & get out, however unfortunately, our aunt had quite a lot of stuff down there, which meant I was going to be in there for a while. I ended up slamming our toe into something hard, & upon further inspection, it was a space oil furnace. I was surprised that our aunt had an section heater, because it was fairly against modern technology, including heating & cooling. But maybe the winters had started to get to her, & she eventually purchased a space oil furnace. I would need the help of our spouse in order to remove the portable heating unit, & so it was saved for last.
