The other night my wife and I ended up staying at a hotel because we did not feel like driving all the way home after a day of sightseeing.
We had had a really long weekend and so we decided that we would just stay at a hotel and leave early the next morning to go home.
We don’t usually do this, so we thought that it would be kind of a treat for us to go and stay in a nice hotel room for the night. We were both looking forward to having nice bed linens and big fluffy pillows and a nice big fancy shower. We were even planning on ordering room service. However, everything ended up being worse than we thought it would be because there was something going on with the heating and cooling system in the hotel that day. They were having issues with the air conditioning system for some reason, and so the whole hotel felt pretty warm and stuffy. It was very disappointing for us because we were expecting to stay in a room with really good indoor air quality and then we ended up in a room that was too hot and stuffy! I don’t sleep well whenever it’s too warm at night, and so I didn’t end up with a good night’s sleep at all. The manager of the hotel was very apologetic about the fact that the air conditioning was not working correctly and he ended up giving us a coupon for a free night stay for the future. Next time we stay there, I really hope that the air conditioning is working!
