Garage is my new hang out thanks to air conditioning addition

There was a time when I simply wouldn’t even open the garage door at my house.

And it was because I was one hundred percent embarrassed for anyone to see the dumpster fire of a mess that was inside the garage.

I live on a cul de sac where there are lots of kids and plenty of good neighbors. That’s a great thing. It’s pretty middle class with good homes that have quality heating and air with decent sized yards. It’s also a friendly little street. So many of the garage doors on our street are open all day in the spring and summer with kids going in and out. That wasn’t the case with our garage. If I opened the garage to get something, I closed it immediately. And this wasn’t the case when we first bought the house. The garage was initially well organized, clean and smelled good. Once the kids started getting older, it turned into a dumping ground to where I couldn’t even get my wife’s car in there. But this summer, the garage door will be closed for a different reason. I finally took back the garage and in doing so, made it even better by adding a ductless heat pump. The HVAC professional made quick work of putting in this little residential HVAC. And it does an amazing job of cooling off the garage to where this is my new hangout. If I learned anything from the pandemic it was that I needed my own space to be quiet and alone. That’s what motivated me to clear out the garage and add some sweet quality heating and air to the mix.
