I get my HVAC unit serviced before the Summer

After that Summer, I have always scheduled my HVAC service during the Spring to avoid the same issue again

With Summer right around the corner, it’s time to start making preparations to deal with the heat that is on the way. By now, you must’ve noticed that the weather has been getting hotter and hotter each Summer. A couple years ago, while spending time outside, my cell phone overheated on numerous occasions. Up until that point, I had not experienced something like that, and I live in a semi-tropical part of the country. Another thing that happened that very Summer, is that my HVAC broke down in July on one of the hottest days of the year. Because the weather was so warm, my HVAC unit was working overtime to keep up with my cooling needs. And naturally, the more the HVAC runs, the more wear and tear it will have. Partly, I take responsibility for my HVAC malfunctioning that year because I failed to get it serviced prior to the Summer. I believe if I had scheduled an appointment with my HVAC technician, he could have potentially found the issue while performing the tune up. Either way, it took 3 days to get my HVAC unit back up and running because it was a busy time of year for technicians and there were many other customers who were having issues with their HVAC units as well. After that Summer, I have always scheduled my HVAC service during the Spring to avoid the same issue again. In fact, my appointment is next week and hopefully, all goes well and that my HVAC unit doesn’t break down this year. Of course, that’s not guaranteed but it does give me peace of mind knowing that my HVAC unit will be inspected by a technician.
