Learning how to replace thermostats in my house

For the last few days, I have been trying to learn how to replace the thermostats in my house.

  • Obviously, most houses don’t have more than one thermostat, but I do.

That is because the owner of the house put in electric wall heaters for the primary heat of the house. Don’t get me started on how much I hate wall heaters as the main source of heat. These heating systems are expensive to use, and they aren’t very safe compared to other types of heating systems. However, we should get back to the point. Rather than running all of the wall heaters to the same thermostat, they decided to add a separate thermostat for every single room in the house. The thermostats that they used for the heating system are old. They are the dial thermostats that only allow you to adjust the temperature on you the thermostat. It didn’t bother me at first, but when the thermostats started going bad, I was worried. There were six thermostats in this house, and I might have to replace all of them. Since I was renting to own the house, I wanted to update the thermostats to something nicer. I considered getting a nice wifi-thermostat, but I would have to spend hundreds of dollars buying enough for all of the heating systems. Instead, I decided to purchase a few digital thermostats. I found the cheapest ones I could buy, and I learned how to install them. I realized that not all HVAC technicians install the wires properly, so I had to relearn how to wire all of these. Needless to say, it was not easy.
