When I walked into the office one day and actually slipped on the wet floor, I was entirely furious.
Nobody put up an actual wet floor sign for warning or anything.
I went to the boss and complained that the cleaning service we had was not good enough. I actually hurt by back a little by the slip and I was not too happy about it. The boss assured me that he would look into getting a better cleaning service right away and that he would have a talk with the janitor that was not putting up wet floor signs when he was mopping the floors. The boss actually provided me with paid time off to recover from my back pain. I didn’t actually want to sue anybody, I just wanted us to have a cleaner work environment and for it to be safe. By the time I got back to the office, I was shocked that everything was incredibly clean and it was like walking into a new building. The boss called me into his office right away to have a chat. He told me that he immediately fired the cleaning service he was using for our building and he hired a reputable professional cleaning service with stellar reviews. He explained how they worked hard on making sure all the services in the building were clean and sanitary, the carpets were all deep cleaned, and the tile floors were waxed and polished. He said there should never be another incident with anybody slipping on the floor and he thanked me for letting him know right away what happened when I slipped on the wet floor.
