At the place where I work they are regularly making corporate decisions on things and I am never included in these because I am just a common worker and not member of the management.
Recently, they went and made a decision to update their commercial heating and air conditioner unit to a rooftop heating and air conditioning system.
Then because of them having such an extreme change in their central heating and air conditioner, and because of all the heating and air conditioning work that was about to take place they had to supply us all time off from work, not that i’m complaining because it was with pay. One thing though, I didn’t realise how much construction was going to be needed to put in a rooftop heating and air conditioning system. I had thought that installing a rooftop heating and air conditioning system was really going to be no different than any other regular or commercial heating and air conditioning system.. But this was not the case here, however aside from getting a week off from work with full pay, it was kind of cool to learn a little about the process of the installation of a rooftop heating and air conditioning system. We had the process explained to us because of the unforeseen and unplanned holiday time. Their commercial heating and air conditioner component was on its last leg, so that was why they made this decision on such short notice. Had there been time to really plan it out, they told us that they would have paid extra and had the rooftop heating and air conditioning construction done over 1 full weekend so that they didn’t have to send us all home.
