Inspecting a hotel that needed air conditioner service

I work for the sanitation board and inspect various hotels, restaurants and even schools if they have proper and quality HVAC.

There is this particular hotel I inspected and found a lot of mess in it.

There was poor ventilation, and their air purification system was uncontrollable. I had the right to close down the hotel if the management failed to hire an HVAC repairman to install for them the new HVAC systems if they are unable to service the existing systems. So I summoned the manager and inquired how long it would take to arrange for a new air conditioner install, but all I got were excuses about how new he was, and he was just getting his footing before he could arrange for new requisitions. Still, I gave them an ultimatum to complete the work with concentration on ductwork cleaning. The onus was on them to identify a reliable HVAC provider who can inspect the HVAC duct layout and seal or clean them properly. I also noticed that the hotel had installed residential HVAC instead of the recommended commercial HVAC to cut costs, so I hoped that would be replaced with appropriate heating and cooling equipment. Two weeks later, I went back to inspect the hotel if the air conditioner service was done. It turns out they managed to cover most of the to-do-tasks on my checklist with a little help from energy saving help. The only application they couldn’t get going in time was the zone control, but that was optional because the hotel really didn’t need that more than they needed the central heating fixed.
